Under full-throttle acceleration, the DeLorean moves off with some enthusiasm, but it feels slow. Lots of sounds from the engine, but not much straight-line performance.

It didn't help that the DeLorean was overweight; it had too much luxury equipment for a sports car.

About the only functional problem with the doors seems to be that some people have trouble reaching high enough to close them, but a lanyard has been attached to the pull-bar to make this reach easier.

Down the road, DeLorean hopes to offer buyers more exterior colors than the single brushed stainless steel, which he recognizes could be a later hangup to sales.
