What has tended to be overlooked, on the UK side at least, is that DeLorean himself is good; very good. And so are most of the executives he gathered round him, plucked from the upper branches of the automotive industry tree; not least Gene Cafiero, Chrysler's former president.

"Some owners paint their cars to add color to the outside. This owner added a replica side stripe that is blue."

Though he concedes that the odds are against him, DeLorean boasts of an edge few other potential Henry Fords have had in the past. He is eminently experienced in the business of building cars and has the personal charm and magnetism to separate well-heeled people from their money.

"I think black is a pretty nice color for the DeLorean. Notice the DMC emblem on the right part of the grill. Is this a political statement or just a visual preference? :)"
